The name

We read in the book of Zechariah that:

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying: Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out. And He shall build the temple of the Lord” (Zak 6:12). We remembered this two and a half thousand years old prophecy when we gave name to the first Christian kindergarten started in 1997, Cluj, Romania. The Hungarian word ‘Csemete’ means both a branch and a young child. ‘Branch’ is the name of the coming Messiah.

From the ancient time people were looking forward to every childbirth in the hope of incarnation of the Messiah. For us Messiah was already born who’d prophetically built the Temple. Not to mention the continuation of Zerubbabel’s and Jeshua’s temple, or the rebuilding of the temple destroyed by Herod. He will build the Temple, the New Jerusalem, which will be entirely Temple. Jesus left the continuation and accomplishment of this mission to His disciplines, and this refers to our children, too.
